Explore the USPTO website and spend some time looking at the Patents side and the Trademarks side. Both provide a method of registration as well as searching through previous registrations. In a one page paper, compare how these two systems look similar and also point out differences you see. Although both Trademarks and Patents are administered by the same federal agency, they are handled differently and have different filing requirements. What do you think is the reason for that?
