Assignment:

Locate and explain 3 "laws" or "regulations" or "rules" or "codes of practice" that affect life in some manner.

If someone is employed, it may be of interest to explore the laws that affect the workplace.

For example, use an example of a sales person. Laws & regulations, etc.

If you work in a supermarket, you could explore the laws that dictate hours the supermarket stays open, the regulations regarding food storage and the Modern Awards that determine the level of pay for employees.

Or if you work in a fast food restaurant, you could explore the laws that determine how to dispose of the used oil, regulations about overtime pay and the regulations regarding work safety.

If you play for an organised sports team, you could examine the by-laws of the association, the regulations of the game and the obligations for liquor licensing by the Club.
