Deng Xiaoping said, "Science is the first productive force. "In the history of human development, science has undoubtedly played a huge role in promoting.
In the lesson "Dialogue with Nature", we met several influential people in the history of science: Plato, Aristotle, and Newton.
Plato led mankind to think about the world in which we live, emphasizing education, philosophical reflection, and discernment.
Aristotle led mankind to explore the laws of nature and use his wisdom to build the framework of an ideal world.
Newton, as a giant, also stood on the shoulders of giants, and he gave answers to almost all encounterable questions at that time, pushing the development of science to a new level by himself, becoming a major turning point in the history of science, being evaluated as "no one before or since", which also shows how rare geniuses like Newton are.
From ancient times to the present, there are close to 100 billion people; however, we have learned that there are probably less than 700 scientists who have really promoted the development of science.
In reality, scientific researchers are in the minority, and those with breakthrough achievements are even fewer, while most are ordinary people without genius minds.
Without Newton, human beings may be postponed for hundreds of years before they can watch TV and cell phones; but what will be changed by ordinary people without one?
Is the world advanced by genius? What role do normal people play in the history of science?
