Assessment Details:

The purpose of this assessment task is to allow you the opportunity to work in groups to integrate your learning in a practical way and to report on the findings of the group accordingly.

The group report assessment task will give all group members the opportunity to identify the characteristics of a developing professional in an occupational community; begin the process of developing a professional identity and articulate a professional philosophy appropriate to the business discipline. It will also allow group members to begin the process of integrating practical, interpersonal and reflective knowledge and skills. Group members will be able to demonstrate their ability to see the relevance of adopting ethical and principled practices and standards as well as examine the roles, responsibilities and operational requirements of professional settings.

You will form groups of 4 - 5 students in week 2 or 3. Using the theories and concepts studied in this course, your group will choose one of the following topics and critically analyse and evaluate your chosen topic.

1. Explore the history and evolution of occupations in business, and predict with references how you see occupations developing over the next 50 years. How will this influence your professional career?
