The purpose of this assignment is to explore self-awareness and how it impacts others; and, to discover ways to balance personal emotions/values when assisting and planning solutions for clients.

For this assignment, you will view films which depict possible scenarios in a helping profession.

You will write a one page reflection describing the following:

1. If you could change one issue in this case, what would it be?

2. Which person depicted in this documentary did you feel the most of sorrow or empathy for? Why? Which person causes anger or frustration? Why?

3. Imagine you are assigned this case. How would your natural emotions affect your service delivery? How would you ensure that you working towards what is best for the client, even if it is against your own values?

4. How did your responses to the above question reveal your awareness of self?
