Assignment:

We will explore menopause and pelvic floor disorders, which is likely a welcome departure from our past few weeks of very heavy topics. :) Menopause is defined as being 12 months since the client's last menses. The pelvic floor muscles are responsible for supporting the core including the functions of urination, defecation, and sexual functioning. Many consider changes in pelvic floor function to be "normal" as a result of pregnancy, childbirth, and/or menopause but "common" is not synonymous with "normal".
