Modern society is diversified and globalized, so understanding the benefits of diversity is important. explore how embracing diversity benefits collaboration and communication.

Situations like group projects, team meetings, and collaborative efforts give me plenty of opportunities to use my cultural fluency and self-awareness knowledge. Having cultural fluency helps me understand and value the different ideas, communication styles, and ways of working that each team member brings to group projects. I can make sure I work with my teammates in a way that is open and respectful of their different backgrounds if I am aware of my own cultural biases and communication styles. I can create a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and heard, which eventually results in more creative and successful results.

When interacting with friends, and colleagues from a variety of cultural backgrounds, cultural fluency and self-awareness help me deal with situations where different cultural concepts and time management may appear. For example, if I'm working on a project with a coworker from a culture that sees time as more fluid and flexible and comes from a culture that values being on time and meeting goals above all else, it's easy for misunderstandings and arguments to happen. In these situations, my cultural fluency helps me understand and accept my colleague's cultural norms and expectations about time, and my self-awareness makes me think about my cultural preferences and biases.
