Question: The 60 year old patient was seen in the physician's office for routine fracture healing. The patient suffered traumatic fractures of his pelvis that occurred four weeks ago. The patient was walking across the street when he was hit by a vehicle, knocked down, and the vehicle ran over his pelvis. The fractures did not require surgical treatment. After the hospital stay, the patient was transferred to an acute rehabilitation facility and he improved dramatically over the past four weeks. He was discharged from the rehabilitation facility two days ago and will begin outpatient physical therapy tomorrow. During this office visit his fracture was evaluated. The physician also reviewed and signed the physical therapy plan of treatment and order for the patient to continue to receive fracture aftercare.
