Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) sites have been established around the United States for almost 30 years. Many types of ecosystems, organisms, and ecological research techniques are in use at these sites. The focus of this assignment is to learn what physical sites have been established, what is going on at a particular site, and specific ecological sampling techniques that are used at that site. Write a report of 1,250-1,500 words in length describing your chosen LTER site. Your report should include:1. Name of site.2. Type of ecosystem.3. Researchers involved (identify lead researchers).4. Types of research being done and/or organisms being studied.5. Why this site was chosen (area of interest).6. Description of sampling techniques used in that area.7. Results and conclusions presented by the researchers, if any. This assignment uses a grading rubric. Instructors will be using the rubric to grade the assignment; therefore, students should review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment.
Assume you performed a gram stain on a sample from a pure culture of bacteria and observed a field of red and purple cocci. Adjacent cell were not always the similar colour. What do you conclude.

When observing a wet mount of a living organism, you see the organism moving towards the upper left corner through the ocluar.
Explain how their virus manipulates each cellular process course: mechanism of cell entry, how the host transcription/translation machinery is used,
Assume if you want to rid an experimental organism of the function of a gene, you can use RNAi. What would you inject into the organism?
Which virus caused it? Why was the viral culture completed after the Gram and acid-fast stain results were obtained.
On the coding strand above, indicate where you would expect FRP to bind to the DNA. In one sentence, describe why the decision makes sense.
explain The process by which the bacteria affect milk is outlined in text books, but the "meat" process seems to be glossed over.
Discuss how temperature affects the hemoglobin saturation curve and how does temperature affect the delivery of oxygen to the tissues?
Diglycerol tetraether membrane lipids can be found in many archaeal species. The extreme thermophiles contain almost exclusively this type of lipids in their membrane while the percentage of this type of lipids is much lower in the membrane of met..
What are the two most numerous terrestrial groups of arthropods? which of these contains many flying species?
Autoimmune haemolytic anaemia is caused in general by auto anti bodies of the IgG and IgM classes. Can antibodies of other classes such as IgA, IgD, IgE cause autoimmune haemolytic anaemia.
