Advocacy Scenario

Now that your research is done, it is time to meet with your teaching staff. Your assignment is to communicate your point of view and discover if there are teachers and assistants who support your position. One method of communicating the most important parts of your message to the staff is to use an elevator speech. They get to the heart of the matter without including a lot of extraneous information.

In this step, you will use your knowledge of supporting positive relationships and interactions with young children to write and film an elevator speech to the teaching staff explaining your concerns about the disruption of relationships with teachers caused by the daily re-grouping policy of the center. You will post your speech on Flipgrid in the following link: Advocacy Flipgrid

A. Write an "elevator speech" explaining why regrouping children throughout the day is disruptive. The speech should be written using size 12 font, standard margins and be double-spaced.
