Assignment: FINAL REFLECTION ON MEDIATIZATION
Throughout the semester, we have worked to explore the current state of mediatization in various aspects of our lives. Some of our discussions and readings have also tried to peer into the future to imagine where these processes might take us, for good or ill.
Using the article "Explaining the Mediatisation Approach" by Friedrich Krotz, engage in that speculation with regard to mediatization more generally. This reflection is an opportunity to imagine what the future of mediatization will hold as a force for progressive social change, for justice, for what we would like to imagine is a good and equitable life.
How will mediatization allow us to live the life we want? How will we need to re-think the processes of mediatization to help them to align with the kind of progress we want to see? Can we reverse these processes, or slow them down, if we see them building a world we are not comfortable with? These are the kinds of questions your final reflection should engage with. Think outside the box a little and make a compelling argument.
