Most workplaces have an ethical code or policy in effect. There is likely some expectation in your workplace about how you are supposed to act and compose yourself. Such codes are commonplace for IT professionals, but while you might have followed these ‘rules', did they have any effect on your personal behaviour? Did these codes truly influence your own ethics?
For this Discussion, consider whether a code of ethics, professional organisations, certifications and/or licensing affects the ethical behaviour of IT professionals. Along that same thread, do you think any of these have any impact on those same IT professionals? Take a position on these questions and share your thoughts on the matter using support from your own experiences and/or research.

Post: Create an initial post in which you analyse how codes of ethics, professional organisations, certification and licensing impact, if at all, the ethical behaviour of IT professionals. In your analysis, evaluate the effects of codes of ethics, professional organisations, certification and licensing based on your own working experience and/or other supporting evidence you find. Your evaluation should also consider how codes of ethics might affect an IT professional's outlook on their responsibilities toward themselves, employers, clients and society. If you believe a code of ethics impacts an IT professional's behaviour, explain what that impact is and why it occurs. If you do not believe a code of ethics impacts an IT professional's behaviour, explain why this might be the case.
