Question: Many years ago Scientific American published a letter about the aerodynamics of pollen spores. A photograph accompanied the letter showing a spore having a diameter of about 20µm and looking remarkably like a golf ball. The gist of the letter was that nature had discovered the principle of golf-ball aerodynamics millions of years before man. Explain why the letter writer's logic is faulty.
