An automatic security camera must operate as follows when an intrusion occurs:
1. If the ambient light level is greater than, the shutter is activated.
2. If ambient light is less than, a light source is triggered.
3. When the source lighting reaches, the shutter is triggered.
Design the system and signal conditioning using the following assumptions:
a. The shutter and light source are triggered by TTL logic high signals.
b. A CdS cell with characteristics given in given Figure is used to monitor ambient light level.
c. A photodiode with the characteristics given in Figure b will be used to measure light intensity after the light source is triggered. Explain why the CdS cell could not be used here also.
Calculate the stator reactive voltage drop IXs and hence with reference to a phasor diagram calculate the magnitude of the generated voltage E. - what is meant by the load angle of a synchronous motor.
a carrier wave is frequency-modulated using a sinusoidal signal of frequency fm and amplitude Am. (a) determine the values of the modulation index beta for which the carrier component of the fm signal is reduced to zero. see the appendix for calcu..
A unipolar 16 bit ADC measures 0 - 10 volts full scale. What is the minimum resolvable voltage What is the percent quantization error What is the percent quantization error if a 1 volt max signal is input
Consider the common-gate amplier of Figure, the MOSFET has KP = 50 A/V2, W = 600 m, L = 10 m, Vto = 1V, and rd = . The supply voltages are VDD = 15 V and VSS = 15 V. The resistances are RS = 3 k , RL = 10 k , and RD = 3k. Determine the Q point and..
What is an advantage of a high-velocity air-distribution system?
The basic sampling rate for the compact disc (CD) recording industry has been set at 44.1 kHz. (a) Determine the highest frequency of the analog signal that could theoretically be reconstructed from this sampling rate.
For vX = vY = 5 V, determine the currents and voltages listed in the figure. - Calculate the maximum fanout for the low output condition.
A tiny ball (mass = 0.015 kg) carries a charge of -20 µC. What electric field (magnitude and direction) is needed to cause the ball to float above the ground?
How hot would a conventional pipe have to get to burst and why. Does it vary according to what material the pipe is made of. Which are the strongest. What are weak ones
A given system has four sensors that can produce an output of 0 or 1.The system operates properly when exactly 1 of the sensors has its output equal to 1.An alarm must be raised when two or more sensors have the output of 1.
Why is it important when working on electrical components such as pump motors to make sure that all of the water in the system has been removed?
Often cells and cell site transmitter-antenna parameters are built around a signal level contour. What is the value of this contour in dBµ? Also give this dBµ value in dBm based on a 50 - Ω impedance at 850 MHz.
