Question: One day, you receive an anonymous typed letter in the mail. It reads: "You're looking in all the wrong places. Not all druggies are lowlife. Think of Sherlock Holmes. What did he use and why?" You and your partner examine this mysterious note and decide that the writer must be trying to help you without getting caught passing information to the police. You go back to your literature books and discover that Sherlock Holmes used cocaine to keep his brain stimulated. What do you conclude from this? Scarlett is most likely not a stimulant because people feel depressed afterward. The note isn't telling you that scarlett is a stimulant but just that it is being used by middle- or upper-class people. Scarlett is most likely a stimulant. This note is telling you that it is a drug in the same category as the one Holmes used, cocaine. If it depletes dopamine, that might explain why people feel depressed after they stop using it.
