Problem

10 years have passed and unfortunately Emily has suffered 2 more acute myocardial infarctions, with the most recent one requiring a triple coronary artery graft surgery. Due to repeated infarctions, a significant number of her cardiomyocytes have died, and her heart is pumping with less efficiency. She presents to her GP complaining of shortness of breath and swelling around her ankles. Her GP decides to request an echocardiogram to check her heart function. Her end-diastolic volume (EDV) is 150ml and her end-systolic volume (ESV) is 95ml.
