This study was conducted by New York City based consulting firm McKinsey & company. The author Singer Dale has written many academic journals and articles for Insight into Diversity which is a magazine and website source about equal opportunity and employment. Insight into Diversity helps employers meet with individuals seeking jobs regarding race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, and disability. The articles talk about difficulties and advantages of finding and achieving a diverse workforce. It gives examples of top companies and their ideas of finding employees with different backgrounds.
The article offers an interview with a director of these companies which explains why diversity is important for such companies. Also, it suggests that companies that have more varied employees are more likely to succeed financially. This article says that hiring individuals from different backgrounds will provide new and better ideas for innovation for that company. Also, it provides information on how these companies can find a diverse workforce.
