You are doing a great job in the leadership program and have made some valuable contributions up to this point. Your organization has not had the resources to update computers and data processing equipment which has caused missed deadlines for clients. The organization has needed updated software and equipment for several years. In recent weeks, a significant number of employees have left the company, and with the shortage in staff, employees are working overtime to fill gaps in teams. So this week, your focus will be on how your company can improve the organization's culture.

As part of the leadership training program, top management is seeking a proposal with current research including an overview of how culture affects the workplace and recommendations for new strategies to develop an effective organizational culture. This information will support an additional request for a budget line from investors.

You have been tasked with creating a proposal that you would share with the management team.

Note: You are welcome to assume additional information about the company provided that information aligns with the scenario above.

Overview: Explain why culture is important to your organization.

Internal & External Factors: Explain the internal and external factors affecting the organization's culture, one of each at a minimum.

Strategies: Describe at least three strategies your organization might use to address the internal and external factors negatively affecting the company's culture. What are three additional strategies you would recommend be implemented to promote a positive company culture?
