Question: For this discussion please find an article on corporate social responsibility, also known as CSR. You can also choose to write on the ESG and anti-ESG movements and which one most closely aligns with Aristotle's virtue ethics.

( Ex. -Although you can find your own article, there is a 2015 article by Harvard Business Review titled The Truth about CSR. ) Likewise you can find articles in Forbes, for example. Try to find articles from 2022 and 2023 (recent).

Explain whether or not virtue ethics supports or coheres with the idea of CSR. Why or why not ? Explain your answer in relation to the rationale( epistemological basis/ meta-ethical basis) and claims of virtue ethics.

Explain why this is or is not the case in relation to the example of CSR in your article.

Finally, consider whether or not virtue ethics, utilitarian ethics, deontological or natural law ethics best coheres with business ethics and the aim of earning profits.

Keep in mind that some have argued that a businesses focus is to be on providing quality products and services to their customers while making a profit for its owners, shareholders, and other stakeholders. Thus CSR is not part of the expectations of being a good business manager or owner. That is to say there are arguments and positions on both sides of this topic.
