Case Study: Janique graduated from high school at the top of her class with A's in the sciences. Her parents were exceedingly proud of her and sent her straight to UTech, Ja to pursue her degree in Nursing. As Janique pursues her degree in Nursing, she realizes that she would much prefer to do a major that is more creative such as Mass Communication. When she asked her parents' permission to switch majors, their response was very negative, including a refusal to continue funding her education. Janique is left feeling unfulfilled, even though she excels academically in Nursing.
