Question- So i have a phenol group with cholride attached to it. It is treated with ethlyamide and pyridine to form ph-c=o-ethlyamide. So i wonder what is the role of pyridine in the reaction ? i know it can act as a weak base and good nucleophile. please provide a detailed explanation.
