An EEG signal from a healthy adult contains clinically relevant frequencies in the range of 0 to 45 Hz. The frequency bands are generally grouped as delta (0.5-4 Hz), theta (4.5-8 Hz), alpha (8.5-13 Hz), and gamma (30-45 Hz), with a predominant power in the beta/gamma range in the active waking state. It is also known that this signal contains a 60 Hz power line interference component. Higher frequencies in the EEG frequency spectrum area are also present but are known to be related to motion artifacts, ocular-motor activity, as well as other noise sources. Using your knowledge of signal processing, identify:
a) Would anti-aliasing filtering be required? If so, what would you set your cutoff frequency to be?
b) Select the appropriate sampling frequency for this signal, such that both the frequency and time domain representations of the digital signal are accurate.
c) If you choose to process only 10 seconds worth of data, what is the resulting frequency resolution?
Determine whether the Boolean funcions F=a'c+ab'c+ab and G=b'c+a'bc+abc+ab are equivalent using algebraic manipulation.
A piston-cylinder assembly contains 2 kg of water vapor initially at 1 MPa and 250 oC. The water vapor is cooled at constant pressure until the water reaches a quality of 50%. a. Show the process on P-v and T-v diagrams with respect to the sa..
Write a 68000 assembly program to subtract two strings of A15 ASCII characters. The first string is stored starting at $502030. The second string is stored at location $302510. The ASCII character in location $502030 of string.
A 150 KVAR capacitor is connected across the line in Problem 1. (a) Sketch and label the power triangle for the capacitor. (b) Sketch and label the power triangle for the combined loads (capacitor and motor).
Dissipations of Power in Lightbulbs, An incandescent lightbulb rated at 100 W will dissipate 100 W as heat and light when connected across a 110-V ideal voltage source
Write an instruction sequence to set bits 3, 2, 1, and 0 of memory location at $1000 to 1 and leave the upper four bits of the same locations unchanged. use hcs12/9s12 to program.
Using 4 PSK or 2 PSK with the same total power as a reference, calculate the Eb/No versus Pe waterfall plot and compare the asymptotic coding gain of the coder/encoder.
The transmission line has an impedance of 600 ohms and is terminated in a load of 600 ohms. The transmitter delivers an average power of 0.1 W to the input of the line.
Problem Statement: Solve the load flow problem below in Matlab, or similar program, using the Gauss-Seidel Method.
Write a MATLAB script to implement the linear congruential algorithm to generate 5000 pseudo-random variates in the interval (0,1). Use the following parameters: seed=17; A=1103515245; M=2147483648; C=12345.
Vs=310 V (Vrms=219 V) at the input of bridge rectifier Need LC filter at the output of bridge which can provide 240 V +-10V DC, with 2 A constant current. find method to find appropriate values of LC which can provide these specification.
The voltage across the load must remain between 4.7 and 5.0 V for all values of load current. Design a voltage-divider network to supply the load. You may assume that resistors of any value desired are available.
