One way of obtaining pure sodium carbonate is from side to side the decomposition of the mineral trona Na 3(CO3)(HCO3)*2H2O molar mass: 226.03 g/mol, as exposed in the subsequent reaction 2Na3(CO3)(HCO3)*2H2O(s) ----->3Na2CO3(s) + CO2(g) + 5H2O(g) While 15.0 g of trona are decomposed, 10.0 g of Na2CO3 is recovered. Explain what is the percent yield of the reaction?
