An unknown acid was found by combustion analysis to have an empirical formula of CH2O. 3 grams of this acid was titrated against an aqueous solution of 10 grams of sodium hydroxide in 100ml. 20ml of the sodium hydroxide solution were required to reach the equivalence point.
