Fructose is a hexose monosaccharide just like glucose. This means both glucose as well as fructose has the same molecular formula, C6H12O6 and both are nonvolatile nonelectrolytes. A fructose solution was prepared in water and the freezing point of the solution is -0.38 degrees Celsius. Explain what is the molality of the fructose solution? The kf value for water is 1.86 degrees Celsius/m.
