What is the balanced chemical reactions that takes place when h2o2, concentrated h2so4, and Cu(s) is placed in solution? One of the byproducts should be copper sulfate (CuSO4) and there is some gas evolution during the reaction. I know that a redox reaction takes place between hydrogen peroxide and copper metal, but I can't balance the charges when I react the resulting cu2+ cation with the concentrated sulfuric acid.
