This week's discussion is on dual agency. Please watch these youtube videos. The first two take the position that dual agency is a problem.
The third video is from a broker who advocates for dual agency. Feel free to watch other videos as well--there is a good one posted by a lawyer called the pitfalls of dual agency that does a good job of laying out the issues.
1. Explain what dual agency is and how it affects buyers and sellers.
2. If you were selling your house, would you want to be in a dual agency situation? Why or why not? What about if you are buying?
3. What issues do you need to be aware of to protect yourself, as either buyer or seller?
