you will written presentation/speech advocating for the change you wish to see happen in the healthcare system. You will use the information or strategies that you gathered in the previous steps, but you must adapt it to suit your new medium and focus.
Requirements
It should be between 500-700 words.
It should include an introduction with an engaging hook, important context information and a focus for the speech. The middle (multi-sections) should show why it is a problem, what we are trying to do about it, and suggestions on how we can change. There should be some specific, original suggestions for individuals who work in healthcare. The conclusion should include a quick summary, a discussion on why it is important, and a final thought-provoking statement or call to action.
Here are some things to keep in mind:
1. The speech must be addressed to the audience at the conference and more focused on students fighting discrimination in healthcare in their daily work lives.
2. Make sure to introduce yourself and your topic.
3. A speech is not quite an essay, and the organization may be guided more by emphasis.
4. The language and tone are more conversational - but it avoids slang and incomplete ideas.
5. Rhetorical questions are a feature that may guide the speech - but any technique must be clear and easy to follow.
6. Shorter sentences may also be used more often than longer ones.
7. There are generally more personal anecdotes or connections in a speech.
