Dye "A" has molar absorptivities of 55,000 M-1 cm-1 at 465 nm and 23,000 M-1 cm-1 at 575 nm. Dye "B" has molar absorptivities of 18,000 M-1 cm-1 at 465 nm and 88,000 M-1 cm-1 at 575 nm. A sample containing an unknown mixture of A and B is measured in a 1.00 cm path length cuvette and its absorbances are found to be 0.182 at 465 nm and 0.398 at 575 nm. What are the concentrations of the two dyes in the unknown?
