Finally, what might be one reason a person--you, for example--might have for saying that there is something about the self (about yourself, for example) that cannot be analyzed or understood merely in social terms? Explain.
Your essay must contain three direct quotations, one quotation fom Mead (course textbook, pp. 99-109), one quotation from Cooley (course textbook, pp. 129-133), and another quotation from Cooley (excerpt from Human Nature and the Social Order, to be found as an attachment under Learning Materials for this unit). Each quotation must conatin at least two FULL sentences. No essay that does not conform strictly to this rule will be accepted.
