Case Study: The principal contractor at the new sports complex development had upped tools after disagreements over payments, extra work and whose responsibility it was to pay for a major reworking on one of the buildings after a roof collapse. Unless Juan could get them back to work by next week he could face serious consequences as the schedule was already overrunning by 3 weeks. The negotiations were going to be crucial for both sides as big money as at stake, but that mean tempers would also be frayed.

Question: Explain to Juan the two approaches of Principled Negotiation and the 4-phases of negotiation that could be used in this situation. Which would you suggest is the best approach here?
