She talks with her coworkers, Cory and Kimberly, and explains that there were five incidents of decubiti, three of which were skin breakdown related to nasogastric (NG) tube use. Based on this information, the unit is looking to do an EBP project that examines best practices to reduce skin breakdown secondary to NG tube use.
