You have been working as a project manager on a software project for the past eight months. You are leading a team of 6 other developers in creating a database management system for a large company.

The project is very intricate and many details have been added to account for the wide range of functions that the company needs the database to manage.

You completed the development phase and your company has already spent 95% of the allocated budget to develop this product.

You have handed over the beta version to the customer for final testing and implementation. After one week, you have a meeting with the customer and they appear to be very upset. They state that "the database works really well, but it is not what we wanted at all."
