Using Motivational Strategies to Accomplish Goals
This week you explored foundations of motivation and how this broad and complex topic is studied by researchers. You also explored historical and contemporary motivational theories and how those theories are applied in the classroom. Compare and contrast these theories and consider those that resonate with you and that you find most interesting. Bring to mind examples of how these theories have been evidenced in your home, school, or work setting. How can your understanding of motivation theories help you in your work as an education professional?
Post your reasons for why some motivation theories were of greater interest to you than others and why certain theories did not resonate with you. Share examples of how these theories have been exemplified in your personal life. Finally, explain the usefulness of motivation theories in your work as an education professional.
