Will billions of active users, the vast exposure and use of social networking sites have lead organizations and individuals alike to use social media as a form of advertising. With Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter as the primary social media sites, organizations throughout the United States have turned to social media to gain attention to products and services, as well as build brand awareness. For this discussion post, construct a Facebook AND LinkedIn ad for a company of your choosing. It could be a company you made up or one that currently exists. Make the ads creative, unique, and actionable. This means it entices the user to learn more, and it asked them to click to learn more, see additional details, buy now, or something along those lines...this is called a call to action). You CANNOT use an ad that a company created. This must come from your imagination/creativity.
Then, utilizing two properly formatted resources (from this week's assigned reading or other creditable sources (not social media)), explain how the use of social media, although useful in many ways, could create an unfavorable environment for both employees and consumers. Discuss why and how social media, although beneficial, could hinder a leader's ability to lead employees and be detrimental to an organization's success.
