Susan Jones is a 76-year-old widow who lives in a senior's rental complex in the city. She has been widowed for 10 years. Susan has macular degeneration and has been declared legally blind.

Recently, Susan's grandson, Jake, has been visiting his grandmother and asking for money. Susan wants to help her grandson, so she has been regularly giving him large sums of money from her account. Last week, she agreed to his demands to give him access to her account directly.

Jake has threatened his grandmother that if she tells anyone about their financial arrangement, he will tell the rest of the family that she is losing her mind and needs to be committed to a facility. Susan is afraid of Jake now.
