Comment in own words in a formal way on this Discussion

I believe it is crucial to begin by comprehending what transformational leadership is and what it entails before trying to become one. Leadership that focuses on inspiring and encouraging followers to realize a common goal is known as transformational leadership. This kind of leadership involves more than just issuing directives and telling others what to do; it's also motivating others to share a vision and take pride in their work. You need to be able to convey a compelling vision to your followers if you want to be a transformational leader. People should be inspired and motivated by this vision, and they should be able to truly believe in it. In terms of the controversy that leaders are "born, not made," I think that leaders are born with the innate talent to lead but they need to learn how to use this natural ability to lead a group. So, in other words I think leaders are made as well. It is the life lessons we experience and learn from that make us who we are today. Whether it was a good or bad experience, we learn from it and become stronger and more knowledgeable. For example, one of my most recent "leaders" that have made an influence on me is Yvon Chouinard. He is the founder of Patagonia that recently made a huge change for his brand/company. He decided to "turn capitalism on its head by the Earth their only shareholder." He decided to switch gears and join the fight to fight climate change and save our earth. Yes, there may be controversy's but, he is ultimately leading his people and followers and encouraging them to fight climate change. It's one thing to say it by mouth, but he is putting action behind his words, and I admire him for that. Of course, he is well-off and what not, but this change could be a big win for mother Earth.
