Course Description

The course uses structured systems analysis and design techniques to explore techniques of analysing, specifying, developing and deploying computer based information systems. It focuses on the tools and techniques used for analyse and design systems so as to meet the needs of the organization.

Course Objectives

The course aims to provide students with understanding and skills on:

• The systems concepts and the system development life cycle

• The role of the system analyst in the systems development life cycle

• The techniques of requirements elicitation, specification, and analysis of information systems

• Data and process modeling in information systems development

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students should be able to:

• Explain the systems theoretical concepts and the system Development Life Cycle
