At a certain temperature, a system described by the reaction equation: CO(g) + Cl2(g) COCl2(g) is at equilibrium, with partial pressures as follows:
PCO = 0.30 atm, PCl2 = 0.10 atm, PCOCl2 = 0.60 atm.

a) Calculate Kp for the reaction at this temperature

b) Imagine an additional pressure of Cl2(g) = 0.40 atm is then added to the flask. Find the partial pressure of CO in the flask when the system re-establishes equilibrium.

c) Does the change in PCO experienced by the system while it returns to equilibrium agree with Le Châtelier's principle?
