Imagine that it is a very hot summer day outside. To help quench your thirst while outdoors, you decide to make yourself a big batch of ice tea. When you add large quantity of sugar to the tea to sweeten it, you notice that where the sugar lands on the ice cubes, the ice melts. You also determine that the temperature of the tea drops after adding the sugar. Explain in detail why the sugar would cause the ice cubes to melt while it also causes the temperature to drop.
