CASE: BUILDING TRUST AT PADEA LTD.
Covid 19 has resulted in a downturn in the economy; PADEA Limited is among the companies experiencing difficult times, with subsidiaries throughout the Caribbean. They need to cut costs by consolidating departments, laying off staff and redefining jobs. Employees are concerned, anxious and even fearful regarding the pending changes. Upset, they resorted to gossip and behavior that has significantly slowed down productivity. The CEO and other members of the leadership team are feeling the pressure of trying to do the 'right thing' for the organization and employees, while also addressing the downturn in business. They are aware that they need to re- engage workers to keep them productive and also to sustain the company.
QUESTION
Recommend five (5) clearly articulated, specific strategies that PADEA Limited can take to build trust in the organization. Do not use generalizations, your strategies must deal specifically with the issues related the case.
