Reaction Paper Guidelines-

For your fourth and final reaction paper I'd like you to write a movie review using your sociological expertise on the social construction of social problems. While there is room in this movie review for your own point of view on the story told in the film and the claims it makes, please remember that you MUST BASE YOUR REVIEW of the film on sound sociological ideas, concepts, and reasoning. Reviewing the film based on personal opinion only will NOT result in a passing grade.
Reaction Paper Prompt
Because you are a sociologist who knows a thing or two about the social construction of social problems Joel Best (the author of your textbook) has asked you to contribute a movie review to his blog: "What should Americans be Afraid of?" Professor Best would like you to write a movie review of the documentary Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire? that will help viewers who lack your training in the social construction of social problems to better understand the story told about 9/11 and the war on terror in this movie.
Guidelines for Reaction Paper
To complete this reaction paper you will need to:
1. View the film: Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire
The link of the video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF3I1qbOeX8
2. Use your expertise on the construction of social problems to sociologically explain "the story" told in the film about 9/11 and the war on terror.
Given the topic of the film, you MUST use your knowledge of public opinion about social problems, moral crusades and panics, and the political nature of the social problems process as the basis for your movie review.
3. Write yourreaction paper in the form of a sociological movie review.
Regardless of which aspects of the film you focus on, your movie review musthelp readers (who are not experts on the construction of social problems) understand how the "troubling"events and conditions covered in the film are part of a social problems "production process" that has very real (objective) consequences.
