This week, through our readings and discussion, we have had the opportunity to study the rise of China and India and how they evolved into an eastern cultural system that stressed a subordination of the self to a collective group. In addition, we have addressed the following course objectives:
Explain the social, political, and economic factors that were involved in the development of early Eastern complex societies.
Express an understanding of the Eastern Culture that developed in China, India, and elsewhere in Asia and resulted in the advance of the modern global civilizations.
