Task
In this course work, each student is required to review academic papers on environmental impact assessments studies on petroleum industryand study its impact on either marine environment or air pollution. Evaluate the environmental impact assessment steps scoping and screening procedures, environmental issues and mitigation measures should addressed. The assignment should include critical analysis of professional literature from various sources. The assignment should be limited to 2000 words.
The report should include the following points;
1) introductory note
2) critical analysis of professional literature pertaining the environment impact of petroleum refineriesand its impacts on surrounding environment
3) Explain the scoping and screening procedures, address the environmental issues on the above project
4) Explain the mitigation measures adopted by petroleum refineries.
5) Conclusion
Guidelines:
1. You advised to refer some sample magazines/books in the college library for an idea on the design and format of magazine articles.
2. You must refer to reliable academic literature sources to support your thoughts, ideas, recommendations etc. on the article.
3. Line spacing 1.5 with normal margins on all four sides of word document.
4. The entire course (text, captions, pictures, photos, statistics and table) should printed in black and white, while no additional marks will allotted if submitted in colour.
5. Article text should be word processed, typed in A4 paper size in Times New Roman fonts with 12 point while captions should be sentence case.
6. Content headings should be Times New Roman font with 14 point, bold and capitalize each word.
7. The article should have a clear distinctive heading in conjunction to the text.
8. Whenever ANY words, ideas, or information from any source used in preparing the report, it must supported with suitable evidence and has reference. If the exact words of an author, or if you paraphrase their words, or if you summarize their ideas, the original reference should be provided, which otherwise would lead to plagiarism and your work could be failed.
