Explain the role of nutrients and food in the prevention of disease and optimization of human health.

Think about an area of nutrition that you are interested in studying and focusing on. (diabetes).

Write a descriptive essay that includes the following:

  • Describe the main health issues of your population or community.
  • Of the health issues you describe.
  • Using that health issue, explain the role of nutrients and food in the prevention of disease and the optimization of health.

Requirements

  • Descriptive essay should be written in paragraph format.
  • The viewpoint and purpose of this Assignment should be clearly established and sustained.
  • Assignment should follow the conventions of Standard American English (correct grammar, punctuation, etc.).
  • Writing should be well ordered, logical, and unified, as well as original and insightful.
  • Work should display superior content, organization, style, and mechanics.
  • Follow APA style format, including Times New Roman 12 point font and double spacing. The minimum page requirement is 2 pages not including the title page and reference page.
  • Include at least 2 references. All internet sources must be original articles or government resources. Wikipedia is an example of a resource that is not acceptable. Use APA style for all in-text citations and the reference page.
