Assignment Objective
The objective of this assignment is to develop conceptual understanding of Change Management, Ethics and CSR as contemporary management issues and interplay of these issues through application of desk research skills.
Assignment Tasks
Conduct desk research (using secondary sources only) on the relevant topics and answer on the following:
Question 1. Choose organizations of repute in Oman and study their CSR initiatives and programs. How do those initiatives and programs contribute to the Society at large? Discuss any 3 such initiatives/programs. Explain how CSR initiatives benefit the organisation?
Question 2. An international soft drink company is selling its world famous soft drink all over the world. In Vietnam, the soft drink complies with the Vietnamese Health and Food Regulations but is less healthy than the drink sold in Europe where the law is stricter. The company is obeying the law in Vietnam but is selling an inferior, less healthy product in a developing country.
Analyze and comment on the following:
i. Is the company acting ethically?
ii. Is the company acting illegally?
iii. What should the Country's response be?
iv. What should the Company's response be from ethical perspective?
v. Can consumers play a role in this case? How?
Question 3: Covid-19 pandemic has transformed the way businesses operate and created many changes in Business Processes that you must have come across in recent times. Evaluate and discuss any 4 changes in the way businesses around you have changed. (30 Marks)
MOOC: A brief reflective report on the MOOC for which link will be provided on the Moodle. Please attach evidence of participation/completion in the report.
