ProfessionalCo has been impacted by Covid-19 (March 2020 onwards) resulting in (unanticipated) decreased revenue.

Prepare a business report for the Human Resources Director advises how the organisation could manage the impacts of Covid-19. You are asked to suggest two (2) techniques related to remuneration/ compensation/ reward management that the organisation could deploy to manage the financial implications of Covid-19.

Desired outcome/ success criteria of report: Convince the HRD that your suggested approach will help the organisation (effectively) deal with the immediate impact of C19 by presenting solutions which account for the R of reality and is supported by the R of research. 

 In the report you should:

  • Identify and explain the remuneration issue.
  • Justify your issue (with R of research) by accounting for the strengths and weaknesses of your issue.
  • Identify and account for concerns with implementation - the R of reality - by identifying and refuting with counterclaims.
  • Justify your suggested actions (with R of research) by evaluating the (potential) effectiveness and of your suggested actions

Executive summary - overview of issue(s) identified and the two proposed solutions.

Issue identification and explanation  - identify associated renumeration and performance issues and challenges explain why (why, why) you think these are major issues for the organisation broadly and the HR Director specifically.

Informed and justified proposed solutions  - introduce (provide details of the how) and then explain why your two proposed solutions will address your identified issues and offer details of the solution as well as the strengthens and weaknesses. Your arguments will be supported by the R of research and will be applicable in the R of reality.
