Company law Group Assignment and Presentation

Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this assignment, students will be able to:

  • Recognise the laws relating to companies in Australia; and,
  • Examine the duties, rights and responsibilities of company officers.

1. Form a group of 2 students.

2. Select a case below to find, read, understand and present.

3. The length of the written assignment is to be approximately 2000 Words.(Each member of the group must write 1000 words).

4. The written assignment and presentation slides must be in the IRAC method. Maximum 8 slides, and three short points per slide.

5. Each member of the group is to present two parts of the IRAC method (I= issues and facts; Relevant laws and principles; A= Arguments of the parties and analysis, C= conclusion and court outcome).

6. The task is worth a total of 40% of your final marks.

All of the facts are clearly and accurately detailed with reference to cases with similar facts. All of the relevant law is clearly and accurately detailed, and the Act and related cases are referenced and discussed. All the legal argumentsare clearly and accurately detailed, and there is a synthesis withthe relevant law. The decision of the judge is accurately detailed with reference to any dissenting judgements or precedents. The role, purpose, and scope of the court or tribunal were perfectly clear, logical, formatted, and grammatically correct.

Australian Student, 2000 words and 8 slides, make sure slide is not copy-paste from assignment directly. Attached is the assignment guideline of a case study. Our case study is the first one that is, Forrest V ASIC (2014). ASIC = Australian Securities & Investment Commision. but it has to be of the given year 2014. I need to be followed by IRAC method. and in Rules & Relevant laws, sections has to be mentioned properly from Corporations Act 2001. Its a very important thing otherwise we will loose marks. One more thing, last time I consulted australia tutor for business law assignment and it was not properly followed by IRAC method and there were some significant things missing that lost my marks. It’s a request that please consider the guidelines properly especially IRAC method, and mentioning correct sections (section number and statement) from Corporations Act 2001.
