In January 2022, for no apparent reason, Linda called Benoit into her office, and told him his services were no longer required and Beniot was terminated immediately. Linda offered Benoit a week's salary as "severance pay." At the time of termination, Benoit was earning a salary of $90,000 per year and car allowance, and, in 2021, had received a $5,000 bonus for good performance of Benoit.
