For our experiment we put 5 mL of red Kool-Aid in an empty 25 mL volumetric flask, we then slowly added water until it reached the 25 mL mark in the flask and recorded our observations. Obviously the red Kool-Aid was diluted by the water making it slightly lighter in color.
